Two Truth's and a Lie Tuesday

Well, today I am going to try to increase my Blogging knowledge by doing this little game called two truths and a lie. I am linking up with Alana's blog, Life & Times of the Intelligent Blonde.

Here are the lines in NO particular order:
1. I once lost a bet and ran down Washington Street in Stillwater which is well known as, "The Strip."

2. I have worn nothing but a cowboy hat, boxers, boots and a belt inside a bar.
3. I have hauled hay inside of a trailer house at precisely 2:57 a.m.; perfect hay hauling time.

After you have tried to figure this out, you should ask me about all three sometime. It may surprise you with what all they entail.

Until next time,

Fore! Golf at its beginning

Golf isn't just a hobby, it's an addiction. Myself included, hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent each year to "improve" our games.

I recently purchased a Taylormade R11s stiff flex 9.5 driver
Now, normally I would not go out and spend $399.99 on a single club, but considering I am growing older and more mature, I figured I could make the lifetime investment. This club has been extremely hard for me to hit on the links though in the simulator I was swinging fluidly and smooth. Though frustrated, I am convinced I can still do it.

I also recently accidentally purchased 8 dozen Nike MOJO golf balls. I say accidentally because I clicked on the wrong button on eBay but lucked out by only paying $68 for them!! I have only hit one and it felt good, not great. I love my Taylormade Penta TP5 golf balls still.

What are some of your recent golf ball purchases?

I am ready to go back out this week and play some more before I hit the road for work.I shot my two lowest rounds of my life last week. I shot a +5, 77 on Wednesday and a +11, 83 on Friday at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas.

What are some of your favorite courses? My favorite course thus far in my short golf career is Twin Rivers south of Waco, Texas.

I look forward to increasing the amount of golf I play as well as reducing my score. I have a goal to shoot 80 consistently until I have more time to shoot par golf.

This weekend provided me the opportunity to watch Tiger Woods once again have a brilliant wedge shot on Hole 16 at the Memorial. It was been one of my stronger shots thus far, but I must continually read, practice, and critique each and every shot. I want to get better. I want to be mentally strong on any golf course.

If you have any suggestions or books or videos to help my golf game, please, recommend away!

Until next time,

CWL
